      About this collection

The Cinelli Art Program puts work by artists on cycling caps, jerseys, t-shirts and bikes.

The relationship with artists is older than the program itself. It goes back to Milan in the late 1970s and 1980s, with graphic designer Italo Lupi, Alessandro Mendini and Keith Haring, whose exchange of letters with Antonio Colombo led to the Laser collaboration. The program took shape in the early 2010s and got its own logo in 2015.

Since then it has run as a series of drops, each built around one artist. Names so far include Futura, Barry McGee, Mike Giant, Ana Benaroya, Yinka Ilori, Melcher Oosterman, Shana Sadeghi-Ray, Gerry Wedd, Chas Christiansen and Jimbo Phillips.

The cycling cap is where most of it happens. It's the object the program is best known for, and the simplest way to take an artwork out on the bike.
